5000 Pins {Part 1 of 3}

Well i've finally hit the 5000 Pin mark.
I'm not sure whether to congratulate myself, or get up from the couch and do something.
Maybe i'll get up after I pin another 50 recipes for dessert!

I would venture to guess
[and i'm sure my Pinterest followers would also]
that the majority of my pins are three things:

Fall, food, or DIY

Can't help it.
I have an obsession with Fall ya'll,
a hungry, hungry husband to feed,
and an insatiable appetite to figure out how many millions of uses there are for burlap and mason jars.

So..i thought it would be fun to click back through all these pins and actually look at them and pick out my favorites to share.
And it's your lucky day because tonight's part 1 of 3.

Shredding Chicken in your kitchen-aid mixer.
This is my top favorite use for my kitchen-aid mixer.

 Beautiful storage for all those travel sized items.
For some reason all my travel items are green and white--so it's worked out perfectly in my guest bathroom.

As a creative person, Im a sucker for presentation.
I love the pop of fun that spray painting the inside of a box creates--
and I love sending happy mail!

DIY Kitchen IPAD holder. How stinkin' cute is this?!

Old Ironing Board as an entry table.
I plan on using mine in this exact same fashion.

Dry erase "I love you" board.
This has been on the DIY list forever. One day I'll get to it.

Coffee Beans + Vanilla Candles.
I have this in the Living room and it smells oh-so-good!

More adorable bathroom storage.
I think this would be adorable between our double sinks in the new house.

Using Washi Tape on Calendar.
One of my all time favorite pins!!

Welcome basket for overnight guests.
I loved this idea and immediately put one together for company.
{except family. They're lucky i wash the sheets}

Tune in tmrw for part 2 of 3.

First things first: We're closing ONE week from today. One.

ok not really...these 5 weeks have creeped by
But now it's crunch time and things are about to get Crazy!

  We've finally scheduled all the big stuff

And spent time looking into all the sales.
As first time homebuyers,
 we have the pleasure of having to buy everything for the first time. yay.

and dreaming about all the fun things that I want to!

LOVING this first home ornament
{And the fact that our ceilings are 9 ft high. Big Christmas Tree!}

LOVING this picture frame
{Would be perfect with our first look photos}

LOVING this bedroom
{I've always wanted  a canopy bed--and this is just so inviting}

LOVING all these outdoor finds:

DIY Firepit

Stacked Planters

This adorable outdoor Tic-Tac-Toe

I love this idea..
How cute would some burlap curtains look across our back porch?

Copycat Chuy's Jalapeno Ranch Dip

A few weeks ago we went out with our sweet friends to Chuy's.

We had been once before, but they introduced us to the Jalapeno-Ranch dip this time.

 Haven't tried it?
OMIWORD it's delicious.
Spicy, Creamy and oh so addictive.

I've been looking for recipes, and just couldn't find one that had the reviews of the "true" Chuy's style dip.
So i combined several reviews/ideas/recipes and came up with my own version.

The hubs says it's better than the original!

You'll need:

1 1/3 c. Mayo
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/3 c. chopped Jalapeno
1/3 c. tomatillo sauce or green chilis
{i don't like tomatillos so i just subbed green chilis in mine}
1/3 c. chopped cilantro leaf
Juice from 1/2 a lime
1 packet ranch dressing mix
1/2 tsp. garlic salt

Cut up Jalapenos, remove seeds, and finely chop.

Remove stems from cilantro and chop finely.

Combine the rest of the ingredients into blender and blend till smooth.

 I personally added a heaping spoonful of green chilis since I don't like a lot of heat--but you can do whatever strikes your fancy.!

and Voila!
Easy 10 minute dip.
So simple and the perfect side to all our summer grilling!
